Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 28, 2026
This policy describes what information is handled when you read enablepassion.com, a blog about kitesurfing expeditions, ocean adventures and outdoor gear. In it, we and us mean whoever operates the blog, referred to as the operator.
Visit logs
The servers that deliver Enablepassion keep standard logs. An entry can include your IP address, the time of your visit, the page requested, your browser and device type, and the page that sent you here. We use logs to keep the site available, to find faults and abuse, and to see in general terms whether readers are drawn to trip planning, sea stories or gear articles.
Cookies and similar technology
Enablepassion may store small files or other identifiers in your browser. Some keep basic features such as page layout working. Others, where enabled, count audiences, remember a display choice, support advertising or note which link led a reader to a gear retailer or travel provider so that affiliate attribution works. An identifier set by an advertiser or analytics provider is handled under that provider’s rules, not ours.
Controls in your browser
You can block or clear cookies in your browser, browse privately or use tools that restrict tracking. Where your browser transmits a global privacy or do-not-track preference, we treat it as a request to opt out, as far as the analytics and advertising tools in use can respond to it. Blocking some cookies may change how embedded videos or other features behave.
Emails and forms
When you write to [email protected], we receive your address and anything you include, such as a note about a kite trip or a piece of equipment. We use it to answer you, fix mistakes and keep a record of the exchange. Your email stays private: it is not sold, and we would ask before quoting any of it on the blog.
Newsletters
If a newsletter or sign-up form is offered, the details you enter are used only to deliver what you asked for. Every issue carries a way to opt out, and a short email to us will also take you off the list.
Outside services
Publishing a site depends on other providers. These may include hosting and content delivery, analytics, advertising and affiliate networks, and embedded material such as videos, maps or weather widgets. When a page loads one of these, the provider can see technical details of your visit, such as your IP address and device, and it uses them under its own privacy notice.
Retention
Server logs are held for a limited period, then deleted or reduced to anonymous totals. Emails are kept while they help us answer you, correct an article or meet a legal duty, and are removed once that need has passed.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may be entitled to ask what personal information we hold, to have it corrected or erased, to object to some uses and to withdraw consent you gave earlier. Email [email protected] with your request. We may ask for confirmation of your identity first and will reply within the period the law sets.
Children
Enablepassion is written for a general audience and is not aimed at children under 13, even though young people may enjoy watersports. We gather no personal details from them on purpose. A parent who finds that a child emailed us can ask for the message to be erased, and we will do so.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect data, including secure connections and restricted access to the inbox. No system on the internet is entirely safe, so we cannot guarantee absolute protection.
International transfers
Our providers may handle data in countries other than your own, where rules may differ from those at home. Using the site means your information may travel across borders in this way.
Updates to this policy
This policy will change from time to time as the blog adds features, switches providers or responds to new legal requirements. The effective date above shows when this version began, and continuing to read the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
Complaints and consent
Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time; this does not affect anything done before. See the cookie policy page for the cookies in use and how to manage them. Not satisfied with our answer? In the EU, EEA and UK you may complain to your data protection authority (the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK); in Australia, to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
